Abstract

The research aims to present the results of an ethnographic investigation on the social impact and relationships established in educational processes in a non-governmental organization (NGO), which uses music education as a way to promote development and learning. of the students. The research collected data through bibliographic references, observation and semi-structured interviews about the objectives and strategies of a music workshop that includes musicalization, choral singing and the teaching of instruments and ensemble/orchestra practice for children and adolescents between 6 and 14 years old. and 11 years old. months. The chosen music workshop is developed by an NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) in collaboration with the Government, in the context of a CCA (Center for Children and Adolescents) located in São Paulo, the capital. The general objective of this research was to analyze the effectiveness and relevance of this social project that aims to promote the exercise of citizenship, the empowerment of children and adolescents, the sociocultural development of the public served and the impact of these actions on the environment. family members of the beneficiaries.
