This article is part of the analysis of a master's dissertation and aims to analyze the contributions that the “Teacher improvement course for Specialized Educational Services in High Abilities/Giftedness” at the Federal University of Uberlândia - UFU in Distance Education Modality – EAD, it provided the teacher-students with respect to the construction of meanings, knowledge about inclusive education and High Abilities/Giftedness. The results of this research can contribute to the school community, as it unveils and generates disquiet in the face of educational policies that debate the continuing education of teachers in Distance Education Modality and their contributions to the practice of inclusive education, which aims to meet, in the context schoolchildren, students with different learning styles and rhythms and in this bias people with High Abilities/Giftedness.
