Abstract

The study describes teaching contents that can contribute to the development of new competences in Physical Education (EF) and new forms of interventions in Health Promotion - PS and Quality of Life - QV,
inside and outside the school. The categories applied refer to the dimensions and facets of the WHOQOL (World Health Organization Quality of Life) and the concept of corporeality. We applied the triangulation method that compared articles and documents on the training demands of these professionals, in addition to the results of a field research. It was concluded that these constructs require inter-sectoral practice, interdisciplinary knowledge and changes in professional training. It suggests that the new curricular approach should stimulate new forms of intervention at the political, strategic and tactical-operational levels and be applied in the Physical Education Bachelor and Teaching Degree.
